The Pivot Plan Curriculum

Most people don't need more pressure or more “faith” to make a career pivot. They need a way to turn uncertainty into information—and information into a plan.

Building a business and leaving a job are two connected, but different, challenges. The Pivot Plan addresses both sides of the transition: building something viable and building a realistic path toward leaving your current career.

You'll learn how to clarify your business, test your assumptions, gather real-world evidence, make informed decisions, and create a practical plan for your transition.

Just as importantly, you won't be pushed to scale quickly, post constantly, or pursue a version of entrepreneurship that doesn't fit your life.

The Pivot Plan is not a quick-fix income promise, a high-pressure launch formula, or a one-size-fits-all business model.

You will be guided to make clear choices, test your assumptions, and build a business foundation you can trust and feel good about.

The Pivot Plan isn't designed to be something you simply watch or think about. It's designed to help you take action on your business while you're still living your current life.

Plan for approximately 5 hours of focused work each week, including:

• A brief weekly orientation to help you understand where you are in the process and what to focus on next
• Strategic worksheets and exercises that turn the week's concepts into action
• Time to test ideas, have conversations, build your offer, and apply what you're learning

Your worksheets are provided as working Google Docs, so you can continue to update and build on them throughout the program.

Some weeks will require more time than others, particularly when you're testing an offer or putting something into the world. The goal isn't to do everything perfectly. It's to consistently make meaningful progress.

Building something of your own can be surprisingly isolating. You don't have coworkers to bounce an idea off of, a manager to help you think through a decision, or a team that understands what you're trying to build.

The Pivot Plan community is designed to give you some of that back.

Think of it as your virtual co-working environment: a place to ask questions, get perspective, troubleshoot challenges, share resources, and learn from women who are navigating their own pivots alongside you.

Sometimes you'll need feedback on an offer. Sometimes you'll want another perspective on a difficult client. Sometimes you'll simply need someone who understands why sending that first sales email feels much bigger than it sounds.

And you'll have people to celebrate the wins with, too.

You don't have to figure out your pivot in isolation.

Leaving your job responsibly depends on more than whether you've built a business. It also depends on your financial runway, the evidence you've gathered, your business's current revenue, your personal circumstances, and your capacity to make the transition.

The Pivot Plan helps you build and assess those factors over six months so you can make an informed decision about what comes next.

By the end of the program, you may be ready to leave your job and pursue your business full-time. Or you may decide that you need more time to build savings, grow your revenue, or gather more evidence.

The goal isn't to get you to quit your job on a particular timeline. The goal is to get you to a point where you can make the decision from clarity rather than fear, frustration, or wishful thinking.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin.

The Pivot Plan is best suited to women who have something to work with—an existing side hustle, service, creative practice, skill, offer, or business idea—but who aren't yet sure how to turn it into a sustainable career path.

You don't need a perfect niche, polished website, or five-year business plan.

What you do need is something you're willing to test.

We'll use the process to clarify what you're building, identify who it's for, test your assumptions, and let real-world evidence help shape the business from there.

You'll learn the fundamentals of building a business, but you'll also use real-world testing to figure out what works, what needs to change, and whether your business has the potential to support the kind of career you're trying to create.

That's why the program brings together business strategy, psychological insight, and career transition planning. We're not just building a business for the sake of building one—we're figuring out whether and how it can become your next career chapter.
